John Grady Burns

John Grady Burns is a native of Natchez, MS, where most of his family still lives.  He graduated with a BS in Horticulture and Retail Floral Management from Mississippi State University, where he had the privilege of studying under Professor Emeritus Ralph Null.

Kim Wilson

"Organic Vegetable Gardening"

After 20 years in the corp world, Kim Wilson decided it was time for a change.  In Jan 2009 she opened Lucy’s Market in Buckhead ,named after her grandmother and daughter in a former filling station.  She started with a vegetable garden that ended up being a Buckhead Organic Produce, fun foods, great atmosphere and unique gifts store with a loyal following of customers.

We are award winning floral designers. Founders Laura Iarocci, a Certified Floral Designer, and Victoria Denson have studied with leading designers around the world. As co-chairs of the Flower Guild at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta for over a decade, we have created thousands of flower arrangements for major audiences. I'm married with 2 adult children and 3 granddaughters. Love to work in my yard. Was a floral designer for 25 years. A member of Skint Chestnut Garden Club for 15 years.

Sara Henderson

"Winter Gardens"

Sara is a lifelong Atlanta gardener and has lectured for the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Southeastern Flower Show, Spruill Center for the Arts, Lanier Museum of Natural History and Georgia Department of Agriculture. She has been the president of the Georgia Perennial Plant Association for the past 2 years and is a past president of the American Hydrangea Society. You may have seen her garden featured on the “Georgia Gardener” for PBS or HGTV's “A Gardener's Diary”.  Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Sara speak on the many Hydrangea friendly companions you can plant to complement your own Hydrangea garden.

“Basic Do’s and Don’ts of Planting and Gardening” 

Hold degrees from UGA in: Landscape Architecture, Ornamental Horticulture and Forest Resources/Urban Forestry. Instructor of Residential Landscape Design for 31 years at the Spruill Center for the Arts. Author of landscape book "Green Side Up"(which can be purchased at the meeting). Principle in referral only residential design firm.
